There are many sports that use Championship Title Belts however the one constant factor is that they are all combat sports. They can be categorised by Mixed Martial Arts, Traditional Martial Arts, Pro Wrestling and Boxing. Each discipline would have a handful or many weight classes where athletes battle it out to become champion.Mixed Martial arts have many established promotions but most common are the UFC Championship Belt, Bellator Championship Belt and in the UK, BAMMA. 

Other Martial Arts events that offer belts to their champions are the Glory K1 Series, SuperKombat. In boxing there’s the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF. In Pro Wrestling we have the WWE World Heavyweight Title, Intercontinental Belt, Tag Teams Belt and the US Champion. Other Pro Wrestling companies there is TNA.

In Boxing there are different organisations such as the world boxing council, the world boxing association, international boxing federation and the world boxing organisation. Each of these have their own unique championship belt awarded to the champion of each weight class. Boxers will want to win the belt of all 4 organisations to unify their weight divisions. Champions keep their belts even when their title is lost to someone else, as a new belt is made for each champion crowned.
