Six Nations three way shootout to victory

With the exciting conclusion to the 2015 RBS Six Nations tournament happening this weekend, the three teams left in contention have all avoided each in other in the final fixture.

After last weekend’s superb comeback victory over Scotland, England retained the Calcutta Cup for the 7th year running. They have left themselves in prime position to win the tournament outright, ending the competition with a captivating home tie against a faltering French team, who have not won the tournament since 2010.

England being the only team in contention of winning having home advantage. You would expect this impressive team to bring home the trophy, claiming the position as the nation with the most outright victories since the tournament was incepted in 1883.

You cannot rule out the mighty Welsh who appear to have the easier tie, having to play Italy away from home at the intimidating Stadio Olimpico. Italy will have a passionate full house of 73,000 Italians, backing their team to earn a victory helping them avoid the dreaded Wooden Spoon, which unfortunately they have ‘won’ an unwanted ten times.

Ireland lacked the fight to beat Wales last time out to almost guarantee them the title, but that loss means they need to fight it out with Scotland to claim the illustrious Centenary Quaich title.

Scotland are looking to avoid ‘winning’ their 33rd Wooden Spoon, also a shameful 4th since the competition added Italy to become the Six Nations in 2000. This means it is no easy ride for Ireland, looking for that important victory to put them in contention for winning the 2015 RBS Six Nations trophy.

It is going to an epic battle between 6 huge teams, who will romp home to be the 2015 RBS Six Nations champion? Which nation will succumb to the pressure and end with the unfortunate Wooden Spoon?
